Team demonstrates 40 Gigabit Ethernet long-haul optics

A team composed of Ciena Corp. (NASDAQ: CIEN), Mellanox Technologies (NASDAQ: MLNX; TASE: MLNX), SURFnet, and the University of Amsterdam have demonstrated a serial long-haul 40 Gigabit Ethernet (40GbE) network.
